We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team, someone who is passionate about design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop architectural designs and detailed technical drawings for residential and commercial projects based on initial concepts, sketches, and specifications.
Operate drafting tools such as CAD and Revit to produce accurate, detailed, and professional technical drawings.
Prepare comprehensive drawing packages, including specifications, guidelines, and supporting documents, for submission and approval.
Review and validate design drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, zoning regulations, and design standards.
Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate design details, resolve technical issues, and ensure consistency across project documentation.
Assist in preparing design documentation to support project planning and execution.
Perform updates and revisions to drawings based on changes in design, project scope, or feedback from project stakeholders.
Update and modify existing drawings to reflect changes in design specifications or project scope.
Maintain a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations to ensure all work adheres to local and national standards.
Qualifications & Skills
A college diploma (or higher preferred) with an emphasis on engineering design, drafting technology, Architecture or related field.
Proficient in architectural design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
Self-starter, motivated and detail orientated.
Able to communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Previous experience in the same field will be an asset.
