Job description:

Artisan SakeMaker Inc. is a unique commercial winery that handcrafts award winning, and small batch fresh Japanese rice wine, SAKE. We are looking for a permanent full-time Japanese Sake (Rice Wine) Brewer Supervisor at Artisan SakeMaker at Granville Island, Vancouver, BC

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of Japanese sake brewery labours / workers who process, package, test and grade the product (5-10 workers)

-Establish methods to meet work schedules of Japanese sake brewing

-Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

-Requisition materials and supplies

-Train Japanese sake brewery labours / workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policy

-Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions

-Prepare production and other reports

Education, skills and experience required:

- Completion of secondary school

- Several years of experience as a Japanese sake brewery labour / worker

- Knowledge of Japanese sake is a strong asset

- Strong interpersonal skills

Language:

-Communication skills in English 

Compensation: $34.62/hour, 40hours/week,

Benefit: Extended Health, Dental benefit, tip sharing, 20% staff discount, 4% vacation pay
