Leadbond Development, incorporated in 2015, is a Toronto-based real estate company specializing in land development and home building across the Greater Toronto Area, with a primary focus on Richmond Hill and Toronto. We manage every aspect of the process, from land assembly, development, planning, and design to construction, sales, customer care, and property management.
We have an exciting opportunity for a new custom cabinetmaker apprentice as our company growth! We are happy to train you as an apprentice or to bring in someone with experience. Please see below for the main duties a cabinetmaker apprentice would be expected to do.
Job Duties
- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Alble to read basic blueprint, Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Estimate costs and materials

Qualifcations
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
- Completion of certificate or diploma in cabinetmaking or carpentry OR equivalent working experience in cabinetmaking or other woodwork.
- Previous working experience in cabinetmaking or other woodwork is an asset.
- Familiarity with CAD software for design and machining processes.
- Knowledge of woodworking practices and finishing techniques.
