Leadbond Development, incorporated in 2015, is a Toronto-based real estate company specializing in land development and home building across the Greater Toronto Area, with a primary focus on Richmond Hill and Toronto. We manage every aspect of the process, from land assembly, development, planning, and design to construction, sales, customer care, and property management.
We have an exciting opportunity for a new custom cabinetmaker apprentice as our company grows! We are happy to train you as an apprentice or to bring in someone with experience. Please see below for the main duties a cabinetmaker apprentice would be expected to do.
Job Duties
- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Alble to read basic blueprint, plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Estimate costs and materials

Qualifcations
- Completion of secondary Schoo.
- Previous working experience in cabinetmaking or other woodwork or completion of courses or certificate in cabinetmaking or carpentry.
- Familiarity with CAD software for design and machining processes.
- Knowledge of woodworking practices and finishing techniques.

- Salary: $29 hourly and 30 hours per week
