We will provide:

- Minimum of 30 - 40 hours/ week throughout your employment period

- Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% of salary

- Pay range from $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Duties

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of meals following the Executive/Sous Chef's instructions, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to guests.
  • Check inventory, prepare ingredients, and ensure adequate supplies are available to meet daily menu plans, including proper storage and rotation of all food supplies.
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards during all meal services.
  • Follow standardized recipes, presentation specifications, and sanitation codes to maintain consistent quality and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Plate and garnish dishes attractively before serving, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including utensils and production equipment, while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist in training kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper handling procedures while leading by example in line with the resort’s principles.
  • Identify and report major issues, such as equipment failures or safety risks, to the appropriate management team to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with the team in inventory counts, and ordering groceries to support efficient kitchen operations and themed meal events.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school completion
  • Minimum six months of work experience as a cook
  • Ability to legally work in Canada
