Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of South Indian specialized dishes (e.g., Sambar, all kind of curry and gravy, Dosa, Uttapam, Parotha, Vada, Idly, Vada curry, Appam, Payasam)
  • Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service
  • Hire and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling food. 
  • Oversee kitchen operations and staff by scheduling and supervising kitchen helpers. 
  • Work with specialized cooking equipment such as oven, grill etc.
  • Estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies.

 

Job Requirements

  • Secondary School.
  • 2-3 years of cooking experience in a commercial environment or education in cooking/culinary.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Commercial experience in South Indian cuisine would be an asset.
