We are a Japanese restaurant located in the amazing Brentwood Mall in Burnaby, BC. Known for our delicious traditional mouthwatering tonkatsu (deep fried pork), Saboten welcomes countless satisfied customers every day.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:


 



  • Oversee, Supervise, and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation of food preparation.


 



  • Train staff on job responsibilities including customer service, menu, hygiene, safety protocols etc.


 



  • Establish and manage work schedules of staff and define SOPs for them, factoring peak hour schedules to ensure adequate staffing during high traffic restaurant hours.


 



  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies for the restaurant, ensuring a well-stocked inventory that meets the demands of both regular lunching and dining hours.


 



  • Participate in the hiring process of service staff, ensuring a good mix of skills to enhance the service provided to our clients and the overall experience at the restaurant.


 



  • Ensure food service and quality control standards are met, overseeing meal quality, with an emphasis on presentation and prompt service.


 



  • Requisition inventory based on demand forecasting for both regular operations and high traffic restaurant hours.


 



  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction, balancing the needs of new and regular clients to maintain a high-quality meal experience.


 



  • Keep detailed records of inventory, transactions, and waste, optimizing resource management and cost efficiency.


 



  • Coordinate with the chef to prepare food order summary including any dietary restrictions and Dietary preferences of customers.


 



  • Oversee the presentation and delivery of food, ensuring timely service of meals at the restaurant.


 


 


Qualifications and requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required.

  • Minimum 18 years old in age

  • 8 hours shifts, 5 days a week (including weekends), with shifts from either 11:00 am to 7:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 9:00pm
