Position Title: Accounting Technician

Number of Vacancies: 1

Starting Date: Oct 1, 2024

Job Duties

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Generate and maintain general ledgers and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
• Record journal entries, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances.
• Prepare compilations for engagements and T2 corporate income tax returns.
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, along with other corporate tax-related documentation.
• Prepare and deliver detailed statistical, financial, and accounting reports.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time

Language of Work: English

Wage: $28 - 30 per hour 

Work hours: 40 hours per week

Education: a college diploma /university degree in accounting or business is necessary

Experience: a minimum of three years of experience working in a public accounting firm, with proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware and Profile.
