Job description:
Banh Mi Saigon is a family run Banh Mi (Vietnamese Subs) shop on Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC. We sell authentic Vietnamese sandwiches/subs with special ingredients including special meats and hams. We are looking for a full-time and permanent Bread Baker to assist with our growing business.
We offer: C$20.00/hr (30-40hrs/wk) with 4% paid vacation. Overtime will be calculated after 40hrs.

Employment requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from a culinary school is an asset.
- Some experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role is an asset.
- Ability to work during weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake mix dough and batters for Vietnamese style baguette in accordance to our recipes.
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make the baguettes.
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Planning production schedule and quantity production.
- Track food supplies and place orders, as needed.
- Ensuring all baked baguettes are completed on time for opening.
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use.
- May train other staffs where necessary.
