Joy Farm Market is a local store located in the heart of uptown New Westminster. We carry a variety of fresh organic produce, as well as a good selection of essential products, at an affordable price. Joy Farm Market is proudly locally owned, and we are currently looking for a Sales Supervisor - Retail to join our team, who is able to help us to ensure an excellent shopping experience for customers.

Work Location: 927 8^th Avenue, New Westminster, BC V3M 2R4

Position Title: Sales Supervisor – Retail

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position Available: 1

Wage: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business days of paid vacation

Job Duties:

• Supervise Joy Farm Market's retail area, including overseeing the operations of cashiers and retail staff;
• Assign duties to cashiers and retail staff to ensure an excellent shopping experience for customers;
• Process returns and refunds according to store policy;
• Organize inventory and maintain the visual appeal of the store by facing products regularly;
• Handle escalated customer complaints with courtesy;
• Keep track of store inventory and place orders in timely manner;
• Work with staff to sell, promote, and upsell merchandise as necessary;
• Periodically report to management on sales, merchandising, and other staffing matter;
• Train cashiers and retail staff and ensure Joy Farm Market's standards and quality of service are regularly followed;
• Assist with the opening and closing shifts and establishing work schedules as requested.

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson or sales clerk, cashier, telemarketer, door-to-door salesperson or rental agent is usually required;
• Great communication skill is required;
• Good teamwork and leadership are mandatory for this role;
• Working knowledge of English.
