Badminton Coach Required
As one of the best-known premier Badminton Training Center in Western Ontario, Lions Badminton Training Center is going through an exciting growth period and seeking for a Badminton Coach at our vibrant facility. If you are a highly motivated individual with excellent Badminton skills at national and international level and have experience working with beginner to badminton athletes, especially motivating youth to create champion’s mindset and strategy for competitive play, this position is ideal for you. Position Summary
- Develop and advance training strategies, tactics and schedules for badminton players at recreational and athlete level;
- Plan and deliver the weekly training and competition programs, including individual and group lessons;
- Coach players during tournaments at provincial, and national level;
- Motivate and encourage players towards self-discipline and champion’s mindset at training and/or competition. This includes being an active and inspiring role model for the sport of badminton;
- Conduct formal evaluation of player’s progress at training and competition on a regular basis;
- Provide progress reports to players, family members and management as required;
- Assist the head coach with the updates and development of recreation and competition programs in support of the administrative and marketing teams;
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of coaching experience for badminton athletes at competitive levels both in private and group settings;
- Minimum 2 years of competitive athlete experience at national and/or international level;
- Highly driven and determined with a proven track record of delivering badminton players to a competitive level;
- Outstanding leadership skills with prioritization and strategy to produce results, especially during tournaments;
- Demonstrated skills to communicate, analyze, organize and evaluate in an effective and efficient manner;
- Must have the flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and /or weekends
- At least high school certificate background;
- Excellent ability to communicate in English;
- Clear and valid background check;
