Established in Toronto, Ontario, H&R Roofing is a full-service roofing company experienced in many roofing applications. We offer our services to those in need of re-roofing, flat roof, new construction, and commercial installations. Our business services are provided in the Greater Toronto area, including Scarborough, Mississauga, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Brampton, Oakville, Aurora, Newmarket, Pickering, Ajax and Oshawa.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
- Install, repair, or replace the single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other compositions.
- Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
- Estimate materials and costs as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of secondary school education is required.
- Previous experience in residential/commercial/industrial roofing will be an asset; must be willing to learn.
- Must be able to follow directions and implement safety protocols.
- Able to identify issues and able to resolve them.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced physically demanding environment.
- Reliability, dependability, team player, with good communication skills.
Job Location
Physical locations in the GTA and surrounding areas;
At heights; Noisy and dusty.
Terms of Employment
Permanent; Full-time
Wage & Benefits
$32/hour, 30 to 40 hours per week
