Responsibilities
Tasks
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- Repair machine tools and their components.
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools.
- Fit and assemble machine parts and components to close tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records and complete reports.
- Verify the dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and measure and layout workpieces.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various conventional and CNC machine tools.
- Monitor output to ensure it meets specifications and discard any defective parts.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety protocols.
- Mark materials for cutting or shaping and keep detailed inspection reports.
