Location: Brampton, ON L6X 1R2
Salary: $29.50 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring proper paint adhesion. This process may include filling holes, repairing cracks, and applying primer.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas. Protect floors, furniture, and other surfaces from paint spills and damage.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and finishes. Prepare paint according to specifications and client preferences.
- Inspect surfaces before and after painting to ensure quality and make any necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
- Clean brushes, rollers, and other equipment after use. Remove masking tape and protective coverings. Dispose of paint waste and materials properly.
- Discuss project requirements, color choices, and finishes with clients. Provide recommendations and updates on project progress.
- Follow safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and proper ventilation, to handle hazardous materials and prevent accidents.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure high-quality results. Perform touch-ups and corrections as needed to meet client satisfaction.
- Plan and manage painting projects, including estimating time and material requirements, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring timely completion.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.
- Previous experience of 1 to less than 7 months, either in residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- No specific language requirements.
- Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, including brushes and rollers.
- Ability to clean, sand, and prepare surfaces properly for painting.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure smooth, even application and high-quality finishes.
- Skill in mixing and matching paint colors to achieve desired results.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise application of paint.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing projects on time.
