Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer (Mechanical Engineering Technologist) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing technical support in mechanical engineering fields such as the design, development, maintenance, and testing of HVAC systems, building control systems, and other mechanical components. Job Title:
Mechanical engineering technologist (NOC 22301)
Hourly Wage:
$37.00- $39.00
Overtime Hourly Wage:
$55.50 - $58.50 (if exceeds 40 hours per week)
Working Hours:
Minimum 30 hours per week

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems including machines, power transmission systems, HVAC systems, and process piping.
• Develop cost and material estimates, project schedules, and comprehensive reports to manage project execution effectively.
• Conduct tests and analyses on machines, components, and materials to assess performance, strength, and response to stress.
• Inspect mechanical installations and construction to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed contract documents, tender documents, and participate in the bidding process.
• Supervise, monitor, and inspect ongoing mechanical installation and construction projects to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
• Develop standards and schedules and oversee mechanical maintenance programs and operations of mechanical plants to ensure optimal performance.
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of a two- or three-year college program in mechanical engineering technology or related field is required.
