Job Duties: 

1. Analyzing recipes and calculating the cost of ingredients to ensure that food portions meet the restaurant's quality standards while also maintaining profitability.
2. Collaborate with the head chef to develop menus that appeal to customers while taking into account ingredient availability and seasonal variations.
3. Creating purchase orders for food and kitchen supplies based on menu requirements and inventory levels; order kitchen equipment, utensils, and other necessary tools to maintain a well-equipped and efficient kitchen.
4. Execute recipes accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards.
5. Organize and oversee buffet presentations or banquet setups to provide a memorable dining experience for guests.
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment by conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
7. Training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety procedures to ensure consistency in food quality and service standards.
8. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
9. Coordinating kitchen operations, including workflow management, task delegation, and time management to ensure timely food preparation and service.
10. Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and work areas, including equipment cleaning, dishwashing, and waste disposal.
