Responsibilities:
Tasks:
Address customers' complaints or concerns, Mountain driving expertise, Load and unload goods, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Credentials:
Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Experience and specialization:
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed, Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer
Transportation/travel experience: International, Local, Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial
Additional information:
Security and safety: Valid passport, Driving Record Check
Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses are paid by the employer, Valid driver's license, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel overnight.
