HANDYPERSON

Location:  Brampton, ON, L6Z 4N7

Salary: $35.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40.00 to 60.00 hours per Week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time

Schedule: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, On Call, Weekend/holidays

Starts as soon as possible

Vacancies: 2 vacancies

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Workplace: Restaurant; work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: All weather conditions

Responsibilities/Tasks

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Perform safety and security checks
• Supervise other workers
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Work with minimal supervision
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
