Job Title: Harvest Worker (NOC 85101)
Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time/Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $17.48 – $19.48 per hour (Depending on experience)
No of Positions: 3
Job Description:
- Prepare and irrigate soil for planting
- Plant, fertilize, thin, prune, and harvest various vegetables and fruit crops
- Perform crop-specific weeding and pest control
- Pick, sort, weigh, and pack vegetables and fruits at the farm
- Provide plant care to harvest crops
- Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, and products for transport
- Clean up racks, trays, harvest bins, and general clean-up of growing, producing, and packing areas
- Assist with general farm maintenance, equipment, and tools maintenance
- Assist with greenhouse maintenance and climate control
- May write daily progress reports of inventory harvested
- Ability to work in various climates outdoors and indoors (greenhouses)
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education:No formal education required.
Experience: No formal experience required; successful candidates will be trained in job duties.
Language: No formal language requirement.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work long hours with repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in various environments: cold, damp, dust.
- Ability to handle heavy workloads, which can be physically demanding.
- Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to bend, couch, stand and kneel for long extended periods.
- Ability to work at a high-level height.
