Job Title: Computer Systems Manager
Company: International Testing Laboratory Inc.

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

Details:

  • Rate of Pay: $65.00 per hour
  • Overtime: 1.5 times the normal rate as per provincial regulations
  • Benefits Package: 4% vacation pay paid bi-weekly
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Language Requirement: English
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in related field
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in systems analysis, data administration, software engineering, network design, or computer programming

Job Duties:

    • Develop and implement IT policies and strategies to support testing, inspection, and certification processes.
    • Plan and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
    • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of IT systems for laboratory operations.
    • Ensure smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
    • Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and testing records.
    • Monitor systems for potential cyber threats and apply preventive measures.
    • Manage and upgrade testing software, databases, and laboratory equipment integration.
    • Ensure regular maintenance and timely updates of IT infrastructure.
    • Lead projects, including system upgrades, automation, and software development.
    • Coordinate with testing engineers and other departments to optimize IT processes.
    • Provide technical support to staff for software, network, and equipment issues.
    • Identify and resolve problems efficiently to prevent work disruptions.
    • Supervise and train IT staff on new technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Ensure employees understand and effectively use IT systems.
    • Ensure computer systems comply with ISO 17025, ISO 17020, and ISO 17065 standards.
    • Maintain documentation of system operations, security measures, and IT policies.
