At Roots and Wings Childcare, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn, grow, and explore. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team and make a positive impact on young learners.
As an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), you will:
✅ Develop and implement age-appropriate childcare programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
✅ Observe and assess children’s development, identifying learning needs or behavioral concerns.
✅ Engage children in interactive learning through storytelling, music, art, dramatic play, and physical activities.
✅ Assist in bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
✅ Guide and support children in developing proper eating, dressing, and hygiene habits.
✅ Supervise and coordinate activities for school-age children before and after school hours.
✅ Communicate with parents and guardians about children's progress and developmental needs.
✅ Maintain records, reports, and observations in compliance with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations.
✅ Plan and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the health, security, and well-being of children.
✅ Supervise and mentor early childhood educator assistants, trainees, and volunteers.
✔ Education: College, CEGEP, or diploma (1-2 years) in Early Childhood Education
✔ Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in early childhood education
✔ Certificates/Licenses:
On-Site Work: This role requires working at our physical location; remote work is not an option.
Criminal Record Check Required for security and safety compliance.
Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking throughout the day.
