Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Job Duties: 
1. Interpreting Blueprints: Read and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine the dimensions of structures or systems, as well as material requirements.
2. Developing Specifications and Drawings: Assist engineers in developing detailed engineering specifications, designs, and drawings using CAD software and other tools.
3. Field Surveys and Inspections: Participate in field surveys, site inspections, and technical investigations to gather data, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
4. Cost and Material Estimation: Prepare accurate construction specifications, cost estimates, and material requirements to support project planning and budgeting.
5. Engineering Design: Prepare and review engineering designs and drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
6. Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
7. Supervising Field Activities: Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials to ensure quality and compliance.
8. Consultation Services: Provide technical consultation services to government agencies, contractors, and other organizations, offering expertise and recommendations to support decision-making.

Qualifications:
1. Degree or at least college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
2. At least 1 year proven experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools.
4. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
