Job Description

WESPAC MECHANICAL LTD. is actively looking for 02 Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) mechanic helpers urgently to provide a rewarding career with decent remuneration for long term.

Job Duties

• Provide assistance to mechanics who are assembling and installing refrigeration or air – conditioning components, such as motors, controls, gauges, valve, circulation pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressor using hand and power tools.
• Hold stakes during surveying activities
• Move tools, equipment and other materials.
• Diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
• Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
• Provide assistance to mechanics performing maintenance, repair, and other operations of existing residential equipment
• Perform general and specific equipment inspections
• Clean machines and immediate work areas

Job Requirements

• No formal education requirements. Completion of secondary school is an asset.
• Some experience in same trade is an asset, no experience necessary. On the job training will be provided.
• Class 5 valid driver’s license is an asset, but not mandatory
• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Very punctual and reliable

Benefits

As BC Employment Standards Act 4 % vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation or the option to get 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay on each pay period. 5 days of paid sick leave.
