G.B. Catering

G.B. Catering provides complete contract food services, which includes menu planning, purchasing, staffing, training, and administration. There are no limits to the services we can provide-in over 50 years of operation, we have seen and done just about everything!

Position: Caterer cook (NOC 63200)

Number of vacancies: 2 (two)

Wage: $   34.07   CAD hourly

Working hours per week: 40 to 44 hours per Week

Work Location: 102 Lindgren Rd.W suite 1Huntsville, On P1H 1Y2

On site.Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work conditions: Day, Early, Morning, Evening, On call, Shift to be determined, Weekend.

Terms of employment: Permanent Employment-Full time

Language Required: English 

Education Required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience Required: 1 year to less than 2 years

Job Duties: 

  • Co-ordinate special events
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods           
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas                                                        
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food                              
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment                     
  • Clean kitchen and work areas                                                                 
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef
