Key Responsibilities:
Flooring and Tiling Installation:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and priming to ensure proper tile and flooring adhesion.
- Accurately measure and cut tiles, wood, or other flooring materials to fit designated areas.
- Install a wide range of flooring types, including tiles, laminate, hardwood, and vinyl, with precision and attention to detail.
- Apply adhesives, grouts, and sealants to secure and finish flooring installations.
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Identify and resolve issues with damaged flooring or tiles, such as cracks, chips, or uneven surfaces.
- Remove and replace damaged sections while ensuring a seamless match with existing materials.
Customization and Design:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their flooring and tiling preferences, including patterns, colors, and materials.
- Implement custom designs, layouts, and patterns to meet client specifications.
Site Preparation and Cleanup:
- Safeguard the work area by setting up protective coverings to minimize damage to surrounding spaces.
- Ensure the site is thoroughly cleaned and restored after completing installation or repairs.
Emergency and On-Demand Services:
- Respond to urgent requests for flooring or tiling repairs, including on weekends or after regular working hours.
- Handle challenging environments, such as water-damaged or structurally compromised floors.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate clearly with clients to explain the process, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
- Provide professional and courteous service, addressing client concerns promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training or certifications in flooring and tiling preferred.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment for flooring and tiling tasks, including tile cutters, saws, and levels.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality, precise workmanship.
- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different job sites.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to dust, adhesives, and other construction materials.
- Physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and kneeling for long periods.
- Flexible hours, with occasional work required on short notice.
