Caregiver for a senior
Lum’s Family- Richmond Hill, ON
$21/hr (can be negotiated based on experience)
Seeking a daytime in-home caregiver for a senior living in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent position with a starting wage of $21/hour, which can be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care, including hygiene and exercise routines.
- Perform light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean home environment.
- Overseeing and administering medication per instructions.
- Monitor senior’s physical health conditions and promptly report any changes.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and safety.
- Support mobility by assisting with doctor’s appointments, daily outings, and social events.
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals that are nutritious and suitable to the senior’s needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum 6 months work experience in elderly care OR completion of a recognized training program in caregiving for the elderly or persons with disabilities.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ontario driver’s license is an asset.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
