Draftsperson - NOC 22212 (Drafting Technologist): Preparing engineering designs, drawings and related technical information for custom made window and entrance systems in our manufacturing plant in Debert, NS.

 $42,700 - $44,000 for 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

Education:

 Minimum - high school education. Certificate or other training in CAD required.

 Job duties include some or all of the following duties:

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
• Create building information models (BIM), using computer software, to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of buildings and other engineering projects.
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
• Develop and prepare design sketches.
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets.
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
• Write technical reports.
• Supervise and train other technologists, technicians and drafters.

Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience in a fast-paced window manufacturing environment or similar is required. Previous experience working with CAD is required.
