Today BC Hardwood provides full hardwood flooring services including Installation, sanding & finishing, and supply of flooring materials.
Job Summary
At BC Hardwood, we pride ourselves on our continuous evolution and growth. A key factor in our success is our skilled and dedicated project management team. We are currently seeking a highly qualified project manager (TEER 70010) to help us maintain our position as a leader in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess production experience and excel in developing and overseeing work plans. Additionally, the project manager will be responsible for regularly preparing and presenting updates to relevant management channels, ensuring we achieve our goals.
Objectives of this role
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
- Develop platforms for internal processes
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
- Read Blueprint, schemas and drawings, knowledge of hardwood flooring, prepare and install hardwood floors.
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time (40 hours/week); Permanent Pay: From $40/hour; Benefits: Dental, Extended health and Vision care after successful completion of probation.
