Job Title: Office Administrative Assistant

Terms of Employment: 35-40hrs/Wk.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting at $17.00/hr

Start Date: November 2024

Location: 193 Osborne Rd, Lockeport, Nova Scotia

 

Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrative Assistant to join our team at our fish processing plant in Lockeport, Nova Scotia. This role involves handling a variety of administrative tasks to keep our office running smoothly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit, and proofread documents and reports.
  • Handle incoming mail and emails and manage communication flow.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Answer phone calls and emails, and relay messages.
  • Maintain filing systems, both paper and digital.
  • Establish and follow office procedures.
  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Compile data and support research activities.

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in Office Administration is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline driven environment.
  • Experience in an administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
