Job Title: Nail Care Technician (NOC 63211)

Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time/Permanent

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Wage: $35.40-$37.40 Per hour (Depending on experience)

No of Positions: 6

Job Duties:

• Cleaning nails by removing old nail polish, shaping ends.
• Apply new polish to fingernails and toenails.
• Applying acrylic, gel nails, extensions, and nail polish.
• Evaluate the condition of client’s nails and advise on proper nail care and effective nail care treatments.
• Create custom nail designs and nail art for clients.
• Sanitize all nail instruments and equipment before and after use.
• Always maintain a clean working environment.
• Assisting clients with questions or concerns about nail treatments.

Skills Requirements

Education:

• No formal education required, if candidates have already had 3 months on the job training combined with the minimum of 2 years’ experience, as a Nail Care Technician, manicurist, or pedicurist

OR

• Completion of a beauty school program or college program for manicurist and pedicurist

Experience: Minimum of 2-year experience is required

      ***(less experience would be considered for candidates who have completed a   beauty school program or college program for manicurist and pedicurist)

Language: Ability to communicate English is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
