Construction Helper

Salary: $24.00 to $26.00/Hourly for 40 hours per week

Benefits: Benefits will be paid as per BC Employment Standards Act. Vacation Pay 4 % of gross salary will be paid

Job Location(s): Operating all over lower mainland with base at 8566 148 Street Surrey BC Canada V3S 3G4

Job Duties

• Load and unload materials, and move materials to work areas
• Performed routine maintenance activities,
• Cleaned tools and organized tools according to jobs
• Assist Carpenters in construction activities.
• Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisor.
• Clean up construction site by removing obstacles and other waste.
• Cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines.
• Tend and Feed machines or equipment’s used in business activity

Job requirements

No formal education requirements. Completion of secondary school will be an asset.
Some work experience as a construction labourer would be an asset, On the job training will be provided.
Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
Requires lifting, pulling and carrying of equipment and other objects.
Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors and all-weather conditions.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Hand-eye co-ordination; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Large workload; Tight deadlines.

Eligible Candidate should have the ability to lift heavy objects such as drywall sheets, Ability to work effectively in adverse weather conditions, Ability to bend, stand, lift, carry for extended hours.
