Salary:                                                   $25.00/hr

Hours:                                                   35 – 40hrs/wk

Overtime:                                            $37.50/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk)

Observed Holidays:                          As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 stat holidays/yr

Experience:                                     1 to less than 2 years

Job Duties:

• Inspecting electrical appliances to identify issues, defects, or malfunctions.
• Diagnosing problems using testing equipment, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Disassembling appliances, Repairing, or replacing defective components, such as motors, heating elements, switches, thermostats, and control boards.
• Cleaning and lubricating moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
• Reassembling appliances and testing them to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Advising customers on proper appliance maintenance and operation to prevent future issues.
• Documenting work performed, including parts used and labor hours, for billing and record-keeping purposes.
