Job description:
Viewmax Windows and Doors Ltd. supplies and installs top quality, energy saving windows and doors using cutting edge technology. Our main office is located at 2-23 McCleary Court, Concord, Ontario L4K 3R6.
We are looking for a skilled Window and Door Technician Supervisor to join our team immediately to oversee the installation, repair and maintenance of European-style windows and doors. In this role, the individual will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and optimizing workflow to meet project deadlines. The individual will also be responsible for ordering materials and coordinating with our suppliers in China.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37.5 hours/week with a salary of $ 79,700/year plus 0.4% commission paid monthly and two weeks of vacation per year. We can accommodate English or Mandarin speakers in this position.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of window and door installation and repair technicians to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Overseeing the assessment and diagnosis of issues with existing installations
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members on complex installations and repairs
- Managing inventory and placing orders for materials from our suppliers in China, ensuring the availability and timely delivery of the necessary materials
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely project completion
- Training employees on safety procedures and company policies
You must have the following qualifications:
- Experience as a window and door technician supervisor, project manager or similar role
- Experience in supervising and coordinating the daily operations of installation teams, ensuring the successful completion of projects and resolving any issues that arise during project execution
- Knowledge of various types of windows and doors, materials, and installation techniques including European-style windows and doors, and high-tech features such as fingerprinting technology and smart windows and doors with multi-lock system
- Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and best practices for window and door installation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
