Position: Shift Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall day-to-day supervision and operation of assigned location, including staff management, food safety, guest services, sales, and food quality.
  • Facilitate team meetings to coordinate daily operations and communicate any relevant updates. Also, participate in management meetings to stay informed about company policies or changes.
  • Follow the company's policy and procedures, adhering to company standards to ensure all operations are in line with corporate expectations.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed as per the company's standards, including maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the workplace.
  • Accountable for training and motivating staff and fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate with other shift supervisors and management to ensure seamless transitions between shifts, maintaining operational continuity.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for food preparation, controlling inventory by maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Address any maintenance or repair issues that arise during the shift, notifying the appropriate person as needed to ensure the ongoing functionality of the operation.
  • Resolve customer complaints and special requests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring high-quality guest services.

 

Job Requirements

  • Completion of a college program in food service administration, or hotel and restaurant management or 1 -2 years of experience in the food service sector.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • To be driven and not afraid to take decisive action.
  • Good supervisory skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.
  • Ability to manage a team to achieve common goals. 
  • Highly organized and efficient, working well under pressure.
