Located in the heart of Vancouver, Big Bang Sushi is the one of the casual Japanese restaurants with warm hospitality. Since established in 2016, at Big Bang Sushi, our mission is to become your favourite Japanese Restaurant in your area. Currently, we are looking for a full-time Food Service Supervisor, who can supervise our front of house staffs and ensure a top experience for our customers.

Position Title: Food Service Supervisor

Work Location: 1103 Denman St, Vancouver, BC V6G 2M7

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position available: 1

Wage: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Supervise and organize Big Bang Sushi’s front of house duties and performance to ensure smooth operation;
• Plan and manage staff’s work schedule and procedures;
• Monitor inventory and place an order for ingredients and supplies in a timely manner;
• Keep records of food and beverage stock, food waste, sales and any maintenance or repairs costs;
• Maintain the customer service with warm hospitality and ensure quality of both food and our service meet the standard of our restaurant;
• Organize the food order summaries for kitchen staff regarding any special request from customers for orders of delivery, to-go, or dine-in;
• Provide training to staff on performance expectations, and the standard of sanitation and food safety.

Qualification:

• Completion of Secondary School is required;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management related discipline OR since this is a supervisorial position, at least 1+ year of working experience in food service field is required;
• Effective oral and written communication in English;
• Able to work under pressure as both independently and a team player in a busy restaurant atmosphere;
• Great organization and interpersonal skills.
