Job Description:
- Assist with managing warehouse activities to ensure that efficient and economical utilization for storing and distribution of a wide variety of quality softwood lumber.
- Maintain inventories of materials, processing purchasing transactions.
- Coordinate production work and other related activities.
- Supervise distribution of products in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement.
- Resolve various problems and related complaints and implement corrective measures and process improvements.
- Train and supervise workers on job duties, safety procedures and equipment handling according to product specifications.
- Manage daily schedules to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Plan and schedule warehouse functions to ensure on time, accurate and complete delivery of products.
- Coordinate work with customers and provide logistics support to deliver products in timely fashion.
- Monitor compliance with contractual requirements by comparing planned activity and the flow of material from the warehouse.
- Recommend changes in procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the warehouse.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure performance and long service life based on company standards.
- Prepare and submit progress and other reports.
- Requisition supplies and materials as required.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills.
