Position: Siding Installer
Type of employment: Full-Time

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, BC

Salary: $28.85 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Determine the appropriate layout and installation method based on blueprints and work order specifications.
- Install and set up scaffolding and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Mark and measure guidelines to facilitate precise and accurate installations.
- Prepare the underlying surfaces for installation and perform minor repairs if needed for an extended installation lifetime.
- Install siding as per specifications and schematics for buildings using hand and power tools.
- Cut and trim material to shape when fitting siding around windows or corners, using a knife, shears, or portable power saw.
- Adhere to project specifications and schematics, installing siding using both hand and power tools.
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure that the installed siding meets all project specifications.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about improving efficiency and the quality of work.
- Keep the worksite clean and orderly during and after the project completion.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, and coordinate with other trades on-site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Some work experience in similar work would be an asset but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions.
- Fitness and stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality.
