JOB REQUIREMENTS
Languages: English
Education:College/CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience:2 years to less than 3 years
Work condition and physical capabilities:Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Attention to detail
Work site environment: Outdoors
Work setting: Various locations, Dramatic arts, Motion picture and film industry, Musical or variety concert
On the road job:Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
Supervision:5-10 people
Tasks:
- Supervise staff or team
- Interpret scripts, select the cast and advise in the interpretation and delivery of the performance
- Direct rehearsals for dancers to achieve desired interpretation
- Plan, organize and direct the artistic aspects of production
- Oversee the design of sets, costumes, furnishings and props
- Plan and co-ordinate the production of musical recordings
- Direct musicians and singers during rehearsals and recording
- Determine lighting, lenses, camera angles and backgrounds
