Job Duties:
- Examining plans and measuring the area that must be tiled.
- Forming tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar utilizing tools.
- Align and position tiles as the specified pattern with the use of squares, and straightedges.
- Applying tiling grout and cement while arranging tiles.
- Ensure no tile breakage or any other damage during installation.
- Cutting, polishing, and surfacing marbles and granites for a smoother surface.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, such as cutters, bolts, and trowels to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Make tile and stone installations according to specifications, using tile cutters, tile saws, tile drills, and other tools.
- Clean, polish, level, and seal work surfaces by performing grouting operations.
- Creating decorative tile designs as per client specifications.
- Inspect completed tile work for quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide cost estimations to the clients and odder stock supplies.
Requirements:
- Completion of High School is required.
- Experience in the same field is an asset.
