Job Description
- Load and unload fresh produce of the company such as vegetables etc. from delivery vehicle.
- Accompany the delivery person to the destination and assist him by guiding the delivery vehicle onto and off of customer’s property to avoid damage.
- Open containers, sort, weigh & inspect vegetables, etc. for quality, quantity, and accuracy of delivery procedure.
- Wrap orders and place them on the vehicle for delivery.
- Maintain stock in appropriate storage areas in the warehouse.
- Maintain delivery vehicles by completing pre-use inspections and ensuring the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
- Review and verify invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
- Document orders and maintain delivery logs & records.
- Perform minor repairs on delivery vehicle as necessary.
- Comply with standards with regard to delivery and set-up of produce.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Requirements
- No formal education is required; High school is an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy weight.
