Position: Siding Installer
Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, British Columbia
Salary
Salary: $28.85 per hour

Job Duties
- Analyze blueprints and work order details to determine the appropriate layout and installation method.
- Set up scaffolding and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Mark and measure guidelines to ensure precise and accurate installations.
- Prepare underlying surfaces for installation and perform minor repairs to extend installation longevity.
- Install siding on buildings as per specifications and schematics using hand and power tools.
- Cut and trim materials to fit around windows or corners using knives, shears, or portable power saws.
- Follow project specifications and schematics, utilizing both hand and power tools for siding installation.
- Conduct final quality inspections to ensure installed siding meets all project specifications.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions for improving efficiency and work quality.
- Maintain a clean and orderly worksite during and after project completion.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and coordinate with other trades on-site.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Higher Secondary Certificate.
- Prior experience in similar work is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Willingness to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor repairs.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a construction environment.
