We are currently searching for six Bricklayer Helpers.
Work Location:
Various locations in the GTA
Duties:
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Assist in demolishing buildings
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Erecting walls and building roofs
• Assist heavy equipment operators
Work Setting: Various locations, Construction Site
Construction Specialization: Residential
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Bobcats, Screeds, Bushing Guns, Circular Saws Grouting Machine, Mortar and Concrete Mixers, Beltcretes, Hand tools
Own Tools/Equipment: Safety Equipment/Gear, Steel-toed Safety Boots, Hard Hat, Gloves.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced Environment, Work under Pressure, Physically Demanding, Manual Dexterity, Repetitive Tasks, Handling Heavy Loads, Attention to Details, Hand-eye co-ordination
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Noisy, Dusty
Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Hardworking
Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs.)
Work Experience:
• A minimum of six months of work experience in the construction field.
Certificates:
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
• Work at heights and on scaffolding
Terms of Employment:
Permanent Position/40 hours per week
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Salary:
$ 47.72 per hour according to the LiUNA Local 183
