Position - Recruitment assistant

Job Description Position:

  • Performing recruitment duties such as scheduling interviews, updating the calendar, accordingly, answering phone calls, and monitoring emails.
  • Perform clerical duties like emailing, handling paperwork, and processing background checks including verifying candidates’ qualifications and experience.
  • Review applications and screen candidates.
  • Preparing and posting job advertisements online on various websites.
  • Closely work with the employers to know their requirements and sort candidates according to their needs.
  • Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
  • Review candidate inventories and contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and transfers, redeployment and placement of personnel.
  • Assist candidates during the interview process, answering questions and providing them with key materials.
  • Screening candidates by performing background checks.
  • Following up with candidates during the recruitment process, like shortlisting callbacks or rejection emails.
  • Assisting successful candidates with the onboarding process, including preparing documents and coordinating orientation agendas.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics and produce reports for the HR department.
  • Work with the Hiring Manager to ensure job requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Answer questions from candidates and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the hiring process.

Experience/Qualifications

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university diploma.
  • 1+ years of experience.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.

Salary:

$34.00 per hour.
