Job description:

RAKU Rice & Noodle Bar is an asian fusion and tapas bar located in Vernon, BC. We specialize in creating delicious personal plates and rice bowls to satisfy any craving that comes through our restaurant. No matter what type of Asian cuisine you’re looking for, RAKU has you covered!  We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Food Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Recruit staff and oversee staff training
• Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
• Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

Education, skills and experience required:

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is strong asset
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience.

Language:

-        Communication skills in English

Compensation:

$28.85/hour, 4% vacation pay, paid sick days, Tips/Gratuities, Staff meals, Staff discount, Extended medical & dental up to $1000 after 1-year full-time employment
