Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time, 30-40 hours per week.
Hourly pay: 26.00 to 28.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
Education: Minimum requirement: Completion of an education program, such as a post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is required.
Experience: Minimum requirement: Previous 1 to 2 years’ full-time experience in accounting, bookkeeping or related position is required.

Now we are seeking an experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to join us for managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
Job Duties:
1. Maintain and manage precise financial records specific to center's operations, utilizing both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
2. Accurately post journal entries and reconcile accounts, including bank statements and credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations pertinent to the ECE industry.
3. Assist accountant to prepare, maintain, and present financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets, reflecting the company's financial status.
4. Generate and send invoices to parents for tuition and other fees. Track and follow up on outstanding payments, and manage collections as necessary.
5. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely payment of invoices and handling any discrepancies.
6.Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness in financial management within the business.
7. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of detailed general ledgers, focusing on the center's daily transactions.
8. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliation of financial discrepancies.
9. Process payroll for all daycare staff, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and deductions.
10. Maintain records of employee attendance, leave balances, and timesheets.
11. Complete and submit various tax and regulatory forms, including those related to employee compensation, service taxes, and other government documents.
12. Produce additional statistical, financial, and accounting reports for decision-making, audits, or compliance.
13. Respond to parent inquiries regarding billing, payments, and financial policies. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.
Skills Requirements:
1. Attention to details: Accuracy is paramount in bookkeeping. Small errors can have significant consequences, so a keen eye for detail is crucial.

Technical Skills:
1. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
2. Working knowledge of accounting software preferred, can be trained
3. MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sage Accounting Software)
