Job description:
Located in Vancouver/BC, 2 Guys with Knives is currently looking for a logistics supervisor to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor delivery times and transport costs
- Plan vehicle routes, dispatching crews
- Evaluate quality of logistics processes and planning improvements
- Manage staff and plan staff routes in line with changing needs
- Hire and train staff
- Implement health and safety processes
- Liaise with other departments such as manufacturing, marketing, sales and accounts
- Develop new business contacts
- Monitor factors like fuel costs, environmental impact and legislation and optimising logistics processes accordingly
- Set and manage objectives, goals and projects
Required Education & Experience;
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory position
- Completion of a 2-year diploma in a related field;
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills;
- Advanced English language knowledge;
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively
- Self-disciplined, eager to learn, and have a passion for the food and service industry
Pay Rate/ Salary: $31.5 per hour
