B D S Siding Ltd. located in Surrey; BC is currently hiring 2 full-time Carpenters for their growing team. Candidates are required to work at various locations in Surrey, BC, and other Lower Mainland (BC) areas depending upon the company’s contracts with its clients.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Various job sites in Surrey (BC) and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Finish surfaces of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Supervise other construction workers.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade OR Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
