Position Title:  Cook

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Wage: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Prepare and cook various items from our diverse menu, including pizza, burgers, donairs, shawarma, and more.
• Supervise, train, and assess kitchen staff to ensure high performance and efficient operations.
• Manage the daily kitchen workflow, including organizing staff schedules and overseeing shifts.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen area at all times.
• Contribute to menu planning, dish portioning, and adding the final garnishes to meals.
• Ensure all food meets the quality standards of our restaurant, from burgers to fried chicken.
• Oversee and track inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain stock.

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks, OR completion of college or other programs in cooking or food safety, OR more than 1+ years of commercial cooking experience may be required;
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English is necessary.
