About the company

Established in June 2022, Sundelyn International Inc. is an international agricultural company located in Norfolk County, Ontario. The farm owns a 63-acres farm land and grew the famous “Jingseng” and Vegetables.

 

About the job

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms: Contract; Full-time

Location: 622 Concession Rd 10, Waterford ON N0E 1Y0

About the duties

  1. Manually harvest crops such as vegetables, fruits, or grains by hand or using basic tools.
  2. Assist with planting seeds, bulbs, or roots and transplanting seedlings.
  3. Prune and thin crops to ensure proper growth and maximize yield.
  4. Help in the maintenance and repair of farm infrastructure such as fences, trellises, irrigation systems, and greenhouses to ensure smooth farm operations.
  5. Operate basic farm machinery and tools such as hoes, shovels, and tractors to assist with daily tasks related to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
  6. Perform manual weeding, hoeing, and pest control tasks to maintain crop health and prevent the spread of disease and pests.
  7. Wash, sort, and pack harvested produce for market or storage, ensuring that quality standards are met and damaged or diseased items are removed.
  8. Assist with the setup and operation of irrigation systems to water crops efficiently, including laying out hoses and monitoring water distribution.
  9. Load and unload crates, containers, and produce onto trucks or storage areas for transport or sale, ensuring careful handling to avoid damage.
  10. Follow farm safety guidelines, wear protective gear as required, and maintain a clean working environment to ensure personal and food safety standards are upheld.

 

About the requirements

  1. Prefer to have secondary school education.
  2. Previous experience in harvesting, farming, or general labour work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  3. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy loads.
  4. Ability to work well in a team environment, follow instructions, and cooperate with supervisors and other workers to complete tasks efficiently.
  5. Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and tasks, including working outdoors in various weather conditions.
