Meat Butcher-Wholesale
This position is open at NMK Foods Inc. company, located at 5757 Kennedy Road, Unit 7-8, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 0C5. The position is responsible for the cutting and preparation of various meats (beef, pork, veal, lamb, and poultry). The job duties must prioritize delivering high-quality service to employees, customers, and suppliers. The candidate is required to work approximately 40-50 hours per week. The qualified candidate must be able to communicate in English language.
Major responsibilities:
Clean meats and poultry to prepare for processing or cutting
Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat and poultry
Wrap and package prepared meats and poultry
Remove bones from meat, cut carcasses, sides and quarters
Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
Prepare special displays of meat and poultry or special orders
Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats and poultry
Manage inventory, keep records of sales and ensure food storage conditions are adequate
May supervise and/or train other butchers, or meat cutters
Other requirements:
Standing for extended periods
Handling heavy loads and using heavy duty machinery
At least one years of experience in meat butchering job following CFIA guidelines
Compensation:
Salary starting at $22 per hour.
Statutory holiday full pay, vacation pay.
