We are looking for a Personal Support Worker for a seniors couple 79 M and 77 F.
Salary: $19.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
Work Location: 87 Charnwood Pl, Markham ON L3T5H2; Must work in employer's/client's home.
Job Duties:
1. Provide bedside and personal care of the senior including but not limited to bathing, dressing, ambulation, feeding, and medication reminders
2. Perform housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, keeping the room clean, laundry, etc
3. Select and prepare meals for the senior
4. Have interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
5. Maintain a safe, comfortable and caring environment for the senior
6. Serve as a companion to the senior
7. Keep good communication with the family and supervisors regarding the senior’s condition
8. Administer first-aid or CPR to the senior when necessary
Requirements:
1. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time professional training in the field will be an asset.
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset
4. Must be reliable, client-focused, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Must be able to speak and understand English.
